What colour furniture looks best against purple and white walls?

Q. For my bed room I'm thinking of getting a feature wall of purple while the rest of my walls will remain white. My carpet is a gray blue shade.
What colour furniture would suit this the best?
I personally like chocolate browns and whites when choosing furniture but I am worried they will make my room appear smaller.

A. White or Black. White will look clean and modern, Black will look a little edgier. Brown i think will clash because those are all cool colors, and setting warm brown furniture against it may clash against the gray carpet and purple wall. You could do a warmer (darker) pruple but it may clash against the carpet.... I think black would look very cool. Purple wall, black furniture, white and purple accents, fabulous!
